V Foundation Celebration Kicks Off In Napa
If jet-setting to Napa this weekend, the V Foundation—which operates like a venture capitalist of cancer research—is celebrating a milestone year.
Marking its 20th anniversary, the V Foundation Celebration’s annual benefit (held through Aug. 5) is a favorite among oenophiles, but of top note, supports critical cancer research. As one of the most respected fundraisers in the country, the event draws passionate supporters, including Mike Krzyzewski, Robin Roberts, Scott Hamilton, Lou Holtz, and Joe Theisman. The vintner lineup is star-studded as well— participating wineries including Far Niente, The Estate Yountville, Harbison Estate, Davis Estates, Sinegal Estate Winery, Spottsdale Estate Vineyard & Winery, and Trefethen Family Vineyards.
Partygoers ultimately support V Foundation investments, which in turn springboard innovative ideas and provide a launching platform for cancer researchers—dedicated individuals who are poised to accelerate progress and ultimately save more lives. Vintner grant honorees include Suzanne Pride Bryan, Karen Aldoroty, and Lauren Ackerman, and Fitz and the Tantrums headline the auction gala (Aug. 4). Coveted auction items? Indelible trips to France and Hawaii, a special sports packages for the US Open, access to all-star games for basketball and hockey, and the Superbowl. Cheers!
