Nyquist to be Powered by Sentient Jet for 141st Preakness Stakes

BRAINTREE, MA – May 19, 2016 – Sentient Jet, a Directional Aviation company, is pleased to announce it will sponsor Nyquist, Kentucky Derby champion and winner of the 2015 Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, for the 141st Preakness Stakes on May 21, 2016. The announcement follows Sentient Jet’s sponsorship of Nyquist during the 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby this year.

"We have been believers in Nyquist ever since the Sentient Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, and were honored to support him on his road to a Derby win," said Andrew Collins, President and CEO of Sentient Jet. “He is an incredible talent and we look forward to supporting his continued success at the Preakness Stakes."

The Preakness Stakes, held at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland, is the second jewel of the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing, awarded to a three-year old Thoroughbred horse who wins the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes. Sentient Jet’s sponsorship of Nyquist at the Preakness Stakes expands upon the company’s longtime presence in the horse racing community as the Preferred Private Aviation Partner of the Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Oaks, and Churchill Downs. Additionally, Sentient Jet has been a long time sponsor and Official Private Jet Partner of the Breeders’ Cup and sponsor of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.

"We are thrilled to have Sentient Jet’s continued support going into the Preakness Stakes," said J. Paul Reddam, Owner of Nyquist. "Sentient has been a loyal fan throughout Nyquist’s path to success – from his Breeders’ Cup Juvenile win last fall to his exciting Kentucky Derby victory just a few weeks ago. We are honored to have their continued support for the next leg of the Triple Crown."

Nyquist is the winner of the 2016 Kentucky Derby, 2015 Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile, and 2015 Eclipse Award for Champion Two-Year Olds (where he took 255 of the 261 votes). He is named for the Swedish ice hockey player Gustav Nyquist, who plays for the Detroit Red Wings, and is currently owned and trained by the same team who won the 2012 Kentucky Derby with I'll Have Another, Doug O'Neill and J. Paul Reddam.
