Sentient and Celtics host exclusive Draft Party at Celtics Practice Facility; Sentient becomes an official sponsor of the Boston Celtics
BOSTON (June 28, 2006) - The Boston Celtics and Sentient Jet, Inc. hosted an exclusive Draft Night Party to celebrate the 2006 NBA Draft at the Celtics training facility at the Sports Authority Training Center at HealthPoint this evening. More than 350 season ticket holders, sponsors and invited guests were on hand as the Celtics announced the acquisition of Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff and a 2008 second round pick from the Portland Trail Blazers for Raef LaFrentz, Dan Dickau and the seventh pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.
The Celtics 2006 Draft Night Party, Presented by Sentient, featured a live broadcast from Fox Sports Net New England's Mohegan Sun Sports Tonight program, hosted by Greg Dickerson and Gary Tanguay and featuring NBA experts Donny Marshall, Ryen Russillo, Jeff Goodman, Coach Tim Welsh and Celtics broadcasters Mike Gorman and Tommy Heinsohn. Also broadcasting live from the party were Sean Grande and Cedric Maxwell on WRKO, the flagship radio station of the Boston Celtics. Pre-draft analysis was provided by Danny Ainge and Doc Rivers, who also addressed the crowd after the Celtics made their selection, and met with fans throughout the evening. Also in attendance were current Celtics players Ryan Gomes, Al Jefferson and Dwayne Jones; as well as Celtics legends Robert Parish, JoJo White, Bob Cousy, K.C. Jones and Judge Mal Graham. Celtics legends and guests were interviewed by in-arena hostess Julie Wetherbee.
The Celtics also announced today that Sentient Jet, Inc. has joined the organization as an official sponsor for the 2006-07 NBA season. Under the terms of their agreement, Sentient will offer special travel accommodations for Celtics Courtside Club members. In addition, they will host special playoff events, and distribute Celtics tickets throughout the New England community.
