New York, NY. - July 30, 2008 - Breeders’ Cup, the most prestigious global event in Thoroughbred racing, announced today that Sentient Flight Group (“Sentient”), in its first year as a Breeders’ Cup premier partner, will launch “The Perfect Trip,” a fan poll to determine which horse and jockey had the best trip around the track in the 24-year history of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Fans can log on to www.breederscup.com/perfecttrip to view footage of each trip and to vote on their favorite from 10 finalist races:

The winner of the Perfect Trip Award will be announced at a Breeders’ Cup function on Friday, Oct. 24 and during the Oct. 25 Breeders’ Cup broadcast on ESPN. In addition, Sentient will support the promotion with its first ever TV advertising campaign, which debuted last Saturday on the ABC telecast of the BCC from Saratoga. “Within the first few months of becoming a member of the Breeders’ Cup family, Sentient has exceeded our expectations as a creative and active marketing partner,” said Peter Land, Chief Marketing Officer of the Breeders’ Cup. “The Perfect Trip promotion will no doubt appeal to hardcore and casual horse racing fans.” The 2008 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, with $25.5 million in purses, will be televised live on Oct. 24-25 on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and in more than 120 countries. The Breeders’ Cup will feature 14 races over two days with Championship Friday dedicated to female Thoroughbred championship racing and special festivities. The 2009 Breeders’ Cup will also be held at Santa Anita Park. The ten finalists were selected by a panel of industry experts that included: Jerry Bailey, ESPN/all-time Breeders’ Cup jockey Dan Liebman, The Blood-Horse editor-in-chief D.
