Job Purpose: The Account Director must be able to build strong customer relationships in person and/or by phone focusing on the customer’s private travel needs. They must excel in product education, performance tracking, client development and retention to ensure customer longevity within the Sentient Jet Membership Program. They must do so by understanding their customers every need, identifying the appropriate solution and responding as a priority thus gaining the trust of t heir customers and ensuring success. The Account Director must be responsive to the ever changing environment of private travel regardless of geographical location or time of day.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity.
- Plan and manage personal business portfolio according to an agreed upon strategy.
- Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed goals.
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through proven sales techniques to optimize client activity, quality of service, client longevity, and customer and satisfaction.
- Plan/carry out/support local marketing and sales activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
- Respond to and follow up quote enquiries using appropriate methods.
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
- Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
- Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems.
- Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values and proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Extremely aggressive and self-motivated
- Proven track record of at least 1 to 3 years of success inside sales by exceeding sales goals and objectives.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with the business owners or decision maker.
- Ability to build trust, value others and communicate effectively,
- Focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
